Anne Wexler was born on February 10, 1930 in New York, New York. She received a B.A. from Skidmore College in 1951, an LL.D. from Skidmore in 1978, and a D.Sc. from Bryant College in 1978. She was an associate publisher for Rolling Stone magazine from 1974 to 1976, and a personnel adviser for the Carter-Mondale transition planning group, 1976 to 1977.
